I'm starting the class with 2 granting it does not have the
overall length as 1, however, too me, 2 is the most balanced
of the two. True, I would like to see a little less depth
of chest, but 2 is sure level in its top and bottom lines,
is longer and more level in the hip and I would give 2 the
advantage in depth of twist with more muscle in the lower
third. 2 appears to have a big square rack and is wide over
the loin, however, I would like to pick up the loin edge. I
would also say 2 is pushing the upper limits on finish.

I
believe 1 easily places over 4 for second in the class. 1
is the longest sided lamb in the class, however, she is too
round at the point of shoulder and shows too much depth of
front. She does slope off the dock and I would like to
raise the dock an inch or two; this would sure square her up
in the pins. However, she sure has the advantage of rack
and loin shape over 4.

I placed 4 third in the class and over number 3 because of
her superior length and smoothness of muscle. She exhibits
more balance than 3 and is longer hipped. Granting, from
the rear she does not show as much depth of twist as 3,
however, I believe this is due in part too being too
stretched out as she does show plenty depth of stifle from
the profile view.

3 places at the bottom of the class because of its lack of
length and to me is coarse in its appearance.
For these reasons I placed the class 2, 1, 4, 3 with cuts of
2, 5, 3.
