Using the heaviest muscled, widest based, most balanced lamb
to win the class. Ideally, she could be more extended
about her front end.
Nevertheless, we still chose 3 over 4 in our top pair, as 3
is thicker down her top and more dimensional through her
leg. She too appears to have more width and depth to her
rib giving her a higher degree of brood ewe potential.

Granted 4 is longer and more extended, but she is narrower
and flatter ribbed, so we placed her second.
In the middle pair we preferred the non spotted ewe lamb
over 4. She is longer bodied and more attractive through
her front end. More specifically she is shallower from the
top of her shoulder to her chest floor.

We admit 1 appears to have a better set to her hind legs,
yet we faulted her and placed her third as she is deeper
fronted making her unbalanced from the side.
Despite these criticisms, we used 1 over 2 in our bottom
pair. She excels over 2 in terms of shear width and muscle
thickness. When viewed from the rear she is thicker over
her rack, wider through her pins and is more expressive
through her stifle.

Fourth Place: 2

We do see 2 being stronger behind her shoulder, but she is
defeated when we study her from the rear as she is the
narrowest, lightest muscled ewe lamb of the four.
Again we place the class 3, 4, 1, 2 with cuts of 4, 3, 2.
