Official Placing:
3, 2, 4, 1
Cuts: 10, 2, 1
I placed this class 3, 2, 4, 1
with cuts of 10, 2, 1.
I found an easy top lamb in this class, 3, with a close middle pair, 2
and
4, and I put 1 at the bottom of the class because the picture is of such
poor quality I cannot properly evaluate the lamb. From the side view, I
might put this lamb 2nd, in the class, however, the picture is so
distorted I cannot evaluate the lamb properly, especially the rear view. |

If you see 3 anywhere but first in this class we have some serious
re-teaching of selection to accomplish our goals of making each of you
more competent at selection. This medium X's lamb just over powers the
class. He is really balanced in his top and bottom lines. I will grant he
is a little too round at the shoulder points for my taste but he does
appear to have a wide square rack and loin, is level and square through
the dock, deep in the twist, and is full through the stifle.

I found the middle pair 2
and 4 both with faults, however, I believe 2 has
fewer faults than 4. I would like to see less shoulder depth, longer
side, longer leveler hip and more square through the pins. He is
superior to 4 in depth of twist and in lower leg muscle and more full
through the stifle.

I'm placing 4, third. in the class, however, I would like to make this
lamb more balanced and smoother at the hip/loin juncture. I would like
to raise the dock and square and widen him at the pins. I also fault
this lamb for shallow muscle, especially the lower third.

I'm putting 1 at the bottom of the class because the pictures are so
distorted I cannot evaluate him properly. With good photography, I might
jump this lamb to 2nd. in the class because he does appear to be level
in the top and bottom lines, however, the rear view is so distorted I
cannot properly evaluate him from the rear.
Again, I placed the class 3, 2, 4, 1 with cuts of 10, 2, 1.
