We chose to use the most eye appealing lamb that has the levelest hip out of the four. Ideally the sheared blue lamb could be stronger on its pasterns. Nevertheless, we easily used it over the woolliest lamb in the class. 2 is longer bodied and is nicer balanced, being straighter lined particularly out of its hip.

Granted 4 is stronger on his pasterns, yet we faulted and placed it second as it low in its tail head.
Even so, in a close placing we chose 4 over the slick sheared white wether in the middle pair. Both lambs appear to have the same balance, style and muscle. 4 just appears to be set up better in the picture and also looks stouter because it has not been sheared. 1 may be shown at a disadvantage in the angle of the profile view but this what we see.

1 beats the longer fleeced blue lamb in the bottom pair, as it is the stouter boned, heavier muscled lamb that has more width and dimension down its top. He too appears to be the smoother fronted lamb of the pair, as he ties neater at the top of his shoulder.

Fourth Place: 3

We admit 3 looks longer bodied, but criticized him and placed him last as he is the narrowest made lightest muscled lamb that is high in his chine bone and low in his dock.
Therefore we placed the class 2, 4, 1, 3 with cuts of 5, 1, 4.
