Official Placing: 1, 2, 4, 3
Cuts: 2, 5, 2

I see this as a two pair class, 1 & 2 and 3 & 4. I'm placing the class 1, 2, 4, 3 with cuts of 2, 5, 2.

First Place:  1

Entry number: 525

Exhibitor: 2TLivestock

Sheep name/number: Tres1

Breed: Suffolk

I'm starting the class with the lamb which I believe is the thickest, most muscular lamb in the class which is lamb 1. I grant he has a little too much depth of front and does slope off the hip, however, I believe he is the thickest widest lamb in the class over the rack and loin.  He is medium of frame, however, he is long sided.  He is a little too round at the points, but he is wide through the chest floor and he brings this width to the rear.  He has depth of twist and bulge through the stifle muscle area.

Second Place:  2

In placing 2 second I find this medium framed lamb with just average length of side. He is a little two low in his neck placement with a low dock set.  He does appear to be wide over the rack and loin, however he appears to be carrying a little extra finish, especially around the dock setting.  He has depth of twist, however, I find him a little too flat in his leg muscle.  He is an extremely tight thin hided lamb.

Third Place:  4

I found major faults in the two lambs at the bottom of the class, 3 and 4, however, I believe 4 has fewer flaws than 3, therefore I'm placing 4 third in the class.

4 is a medium framed lamb with average length of side.  I do not see the thickness and shape over the rack and loin as I saw in the two lambs that placed above him in this class. He appears to be short in length of hip and rolls off the dock.

Fourth Place:  3

Entry number: 572

I placed 3 at the bottom of the class.  He does not have the quality that I would expect to see in a competitive maket lamb class.  He is a little too deep in the chest, is a little too round at the points, is both narrow and slopes over the rack and loin, and really slopes off the hip, and is shallow in the depth of twist and has very little lower leg muscle.

Again, the class places 1, 2, 4, 3 with cuts of 2, 5, 2.

t's hard for me to believe this is the 125th class we have judged since the inception of the On Line Sheep Show. I would like to thank Crystal for her hard work with the contest and I would like to thank all of you who have participated as contestants or interested observers. I really enjoy working with the other judges who place the classes and wish each of you a happy holiday season. Lets hope the economy gets straightened out in the year to come and that the  war will come to a peaceful conclusion. OG
