We chose to use the stoutest, widest based, most productive looking female to win this class. Ideally she could be longer about her front end.
Nevertheless, we still used her over 3 in our top pair. 1 is not only the thickest made lamb in the class, but she is neater fronted being smoother in her chest floor and she ties higher from her neck to her shoulder than 3.

Second Place: 3

We do see 3 as being fuller through her rear flank, however get critical and place her second as she is coarser fronted.
Even so, we used 3 over 4 in our middle pair. We chose to use the added power 3 possesses over 4, as she has more muscle dimension down her top and through her leg. 3 also appears to be the broodier, better bodied ewe lamb that has more center body width.

Third Place: 4
Entry number: 765

Some may will say 4 is smoother shouldered and taller fronted and we agree, but she is narrower gauged, shallower in her rib and gets weak in her loin, so we placed her third.
Despite these criticisms, we used 4 over 2 in our bottom pair of the two blue fibered ewe lambs. 4 has a definite advantage in her balance and body volume, as she is deeper in her flank, giving her a nicer balanced look from the side. In addition, 4 is also wider when viewed from behind.

Fourth Place: 2

We admit, we like 2 for her length and extension. However, this does not compensate for her being the narrowest made, shallowest bodied ewe lamb that cuts up in her flank, making her look to be the hardest keeping of the four.
Therefore we placed this class 1, 3, 4, 2 with cuts of 4, 2, 3.
