I believe 4 wins this class with ease as she is the most complete ewe lamb in the class. When viewed on the profile I appreciate her overall balance. she is long and level in the rack, loin, and hip. She has a long neck properly placed, is clean at the points, has proper depth of shoulder and exhibits fullness of the rear flank with proper rib shape. When viewed from the rear I notice her overall thickness, especially over the rack and loin. she is wide through the pins, deep in the twist with a lot of lower leg muscle, both inside and out and she stands on extremely strong feet and legs. A great prospect for a brood ewe.

I’m following 4 with 2 for second in the class. 2 is medium framed, however, she is longer sided than she is tall and that is how it should be. She has a long neck sitting square on top of the shoulder, is extremely balanced, clean at the points with fullness in the rear flank. She is long in the rack and loin and although she has a long hip, I would like to raise her in the dock. From the rear she is probably thicker than the picture indicates. she appears wide and flat over the rack, wide over the loin, however, I would like to raise the loin edge. She is adequate in depth of twist and shows a lot of muscle through the stifle and is very correct in feet and legs.

I would like to change several things in the bottom pair, 1 and 3, however, I found fewer faults with 1, therefore, 1 placed third in the class. I would like to balance her up on the profile by leveling her top lines, especially at the hip/loin juncture. She is clean through the shoulder, brisket, and shoulder point areas. From the rear she does have width over the rack and loin, however, she does tie in rough at the hip/loin juncture. I would also like to add length to her hip, and add more muscle to her lower third and increase the dimension of bone.

In dropping 3 to the fourth spot in the class I found this ewe lamb to be the shortest sided sheep in the class, especially in length of hip. She is balanced, however, from the rear she appears to be the most narrow over her top and loin of any sheep in the class. I would like to see more depth of twist and more muscle in the lower third.
Again, I see the class 4, 2, 1, 3 with cuts of 5, 2, 1.
