4 is the ewe lamb that offers the most balance and look from the profile view. She stands on good bone and appears to be square in the way she stands on feet and legs. She is a level designed ewe that offers a productive look through her body and flank. From the rear, she is wide based and more than adequate in width and thickness of muscle.

2 is a sheep that closely resembles the class winner in several areas. She too has good balance, and extension of front when on the profile. When compared to our class winner, I felt she was slightly deeper in her chest and shoulder, slightly shorter bodied, and not as full in her lower leg. Still, a nice ewe lamb that has some positive features.

The 1 ewe was one that I thought fell next in line fairly easily. She is probably the heaviest muscled ewe in the class, especially from behind. I like her smoothness of shoulder, her base width, and her look from shoulder to hip. However, she needs to be smoother in her transition from loin to rump and more level from hip to dock.

I chose to round out the class with the greener, younger appearing 3 lamb. She is a ewe lamb with some frame size and extension of front. She is adequate in her bonework and appears to have plenty of thickness from behind. From the side, I would like to see her straighter and stronger in her topline and she needs to be longer, thicker, and more level rumped.
