The 1 ram wins the class fairly easily in my opinion. He is the best balanced, squarest made sheep in the class. He combines heaviness of structure with muscle, yet offers a quality look from the profile. To be critical of this nice prospect, he could be shallower in his chest floor, but still is the most complete ram of the class that could benefit alot of southdown breeding programs.

2 is a long bodied lamb that is square and correct on his feet and legs. From the rear view, he shows tremendous volume and expression in his leg and stifle. On the profile, I would like to see him smoother behind his shoulders and blend together better in his hip-loin junction. Still, a nice ram that has some usable pieces.

3 appears to be the biggest framed sheep of the class. He is extended and elevated through his front 1/3 and shows excellent length of body. From behind, he appears to be wide topped and opened up through his center body. Compared to the top two, he needs to be heavier muscled, and needs to balance better from the profile.

4 looks to be a growthy, big bodied type sheep. However, he lacks the overall expression of mucsle and balance to place higher in today's class.
