The southdown lamb suits me as the most powerful, and stoutest structured sheep in the class. From the profile, he shows correctness of topline and tremendous muscularity in his leg and stifle. From behind, he offers the most thickness in his rack and through his rump and leg. To be more ideal, he could blend better from his loin to rump, and be shallower in his chest.

The #1 lamb is tall fronted and extended. His length of body is good and he balances well on the profile. he is adequate in his bonework and shows some evidence of muscle from the side view. From the rear, he doesn't exhibit the natural base width or width and expression of muscle when compared to the class winning wether.

3rd- In a closer placing bottom pair, the #4 sheep holds himself together better and offers more balance on the profile. Even though the picture isn't a true side view, he is more correct in his topline than the 4th place lamb. He is square on his feet and legs and smooth shouldered. He needs to be more powerful in muscle, and more square rumped to move up in class.

The #3 lamb is long necked, good boned, and level hipped. He stands wide and square on his feet and legs and has good depth of middle and flank. To place higher today, he needs to be smoother in the base of his shoulder, leveler in his topline, and more expressive and thicker in his muscle.
