1 is the best combination of balance, muscle, and structural correctness. She is elevated through the front, smooth shouldered, and good ribbed. From the rear view, she appears to have more thickness and evidence of muscling than the other ewes in class. To be more ideal, I would like to see more width at the hip and pins.

3 follows next in line from a pattern standpoint. She too is well balanced and attractive from the profile. She has a relatively straight topline and stands correctly on her feet and legs. Although she is adequate in her shape down her top, she lacks the overall width and dimension of muscle found in the class winner.

In my bottom pair, I prefer the smoother fronted, deeper flanked #4 ewe lamb. Although not as desirable in her front one-third as the top pair, she is smoother and more extended than #2. She also has the advantage of being longer bodied and hindsaddled. To move up in placing, she needs to be leveler topped and show more width and expression of muscle.

2 is the stoutest structured ewe of the class. She shows more dimension of leg and stifle than the two ewes directly above her in placing. However, she lacks the overall smoothness, balance, and levelness of the other females in class.
