Our class winner is unsurpassed in the basics of base width, muscularity and rib shape. She is a moderately designed, bold centered, big ended ewe, who still retains some smoothness up through her front end. If I could change her up, I would definitely like to see her longer from flank to flank, and set her rear leg just a notch squarer to the ground. But you still have to like the muscularity and rib shape she brings to the table.

The ewe lamb I have standing second today reads deeper through her center body, more ideal in the turn to her rib, and wider in her foundation. When compared back to the ewe that stands behind her, she gives us a more productive and maternal look from the side. That being said, I would still like to see more elevation through the base of her chest, as well as see her come slightly more level and true out of her dock.

The 4 ewe I have coming third owns the class in regards to femininity and skeletal organization. She is the smooth fronted ewe lamb whose neck comes the highest out of her shoulder. She is certainly longest sided ewe of the class who comes the most level out of her hip and dock. She stands third for me today because she is the flattest and harshest about her rib, the shallowest through her center body, and the plainest as you study her up high and from behind.

The blue female that rounds out our class is wide based and muscular in her own right. She is big through her center leg, and stout through her pin setting, unfortunately its when I study her silhouette that she stands in fourth today. She is the deepest about her chest and most pronounced about her chest plate. She is the coarsest through her shoulder, roundest out of her hip and dock, while being the frailest in her foot and bone work.
