4 is an easy class winner in my opinion. He is the best balanced, heaviest structured ram that also excels in width and shape from front to rear. He is long and level topped, heavy boned, and big hipped. He also has the advantage of being better ribbed and neater chested. To be more ideal, he needs to be taller at the point of shoulder and squared up at his hock.

The #1 ram is tall fronted and attractive from the side. He is proportional in his depth of body, and long topped and rumped. He appears to be adequate in thickness of muscle down his top, rump, and leg. To be more competitive with the class winner, he needs to be stouter structured and more opened up through his center body.

In a close bottom pair, I chose to use the bigger boned, longer bodied #3 sheep. He is extremely long bodied and hindsaddled, level rumped, and wide based. From the rear, he displays good shape and width of muscle. To move up in placing, he needs to be smoother in his topline, neater chested, and more correct in the set to his hocks.

I elected to round out the class with the #2 ram. He is neat through his chest floor and shoulder, and is extremely tall fronted. He offers good thickness of rump, stifle, and leg. To be more ideal, he needs to be smoother at his hip-loin junction, leveler rumped, and stouter structured.
