The dorset ram is very attractive from the profile. He is tall shouldered, straight made, and correct on his feet and legs. From the rear, he is shapely muscled and wide pinned. To move up in placing, he needs to be deeper flanked, longer bodied, and heavier structured.

The #3 sheep is impressive from the rear for his levelness of rump, width of pins, and fullness of leg and stifle. He stands wide and square from behind but lacks the levelness of topline, and balance of the higher placing rams.
