I have chosen to start this class with #4. When viewed from the rear she overpowers the class with both inside and outside stifle muscle. She is very long bodied, level topped and heavy enough in her structure to warrant first place. She is not the heaviest boned in the class but is more than adequate.

We follow her in our top pair with #2, an extremely smooth lamb, the most highly fitted and very attractive lamb in the class. When we step back and analyze beyond the fitting, we find that #2 does not show us the squareness of hip and pin set and volume of muscle, particularly in the out side stifle. I will grant that #2 overpowers #4 in rack shape.

In my opinion #1 falls in next. I do appreciate the amount of product she brings down her top and down through her leg. But I would criticize her for being the shortest structured, lightest boned, smallest footed lamb of this set.

We appreciate the length of body of lamb #3. She is the heaviest boned lamb in this class. However, she lacks the expression of rack and expression of muscle in her leg. Therefore, she is last.
I place this class 4,2,1,3, with cuts of 1-5-2.
