I began with the heaviest, most expressively muscled sheep. This is evident by watching his rack rise out of his spine with exceptional muscle shape. And when viewed from behind, he has the most volume of muscle and the most aggressive turn to his outer stifle. Compared to 3, he is not the stoutest featured or most heavily structured, but lamb 1 has the most carcass merit and should go to the rail with the shapeliest carcass.

In the middle pair, I chose the stoutest featured, wider based sheep who expands greater mass throughout his entire leg compared to 4.

In the bottom pair, 4 is simply a higher quality lamb with more muscle, better proportions, and sounder structure.

Fourth Place:  2

2 is the easy choice to conclude the class: he's the lightest muscled, stalest lamb that is the poorest balanced.
