I found a pretty logical winner in the Blue wether #4 as he is the stoutest featured heaviest muscled lamb in the class. He is big topped, full and square at the top of his hip and has the most dimension of stifle and depth to his twist. When you view this lamb from the side he is shallow in his chest floor, balanced in his lines and has the most rear leg shape of anything in the class. I would like to see him squarer and more correct at his rear hock as well as being laid in smoother at the shoulder.

The lamb that most closely follows #4 in terms of muscle shape and expression is #2. He is smooth in his shoulder, more ideal in his neck set and attractive when viewed from the side. When you compare this lamb to the other two in the class he is wider based and stands on a more correct set of feet and legs. To get him any higher we would just have to see him with more natural shape and expression of muscle.

Third Place:  3

The bottom pair was a little closer and I chose the #3 lamb because he was fuller down his top, big in his loin and had more squareness and expression at the top of his hip. When you view him from the side he is more balanced from front to rear and has more leg shape. I would like to moderate him a bit in his size and stouten his bone up however.

Fourth Place:  1

I can appreciate the #1 sheep for his strength and levelness of topline but I placed him last because he is the lightest muscled, most poorly balanced sheep in the class. For me to place him any higher he would have to be much stouter featured and show me more true shape.
