We start this class of prospects with the lamb exhibiting
the most complete combination of muscularity, bone, and
structure. I will grant the shape at the tail head is cause
for concern as is the too flat rib shape that will limit
development in the rack as the lamb matures. With those
faults the lamb still excels our class.

In second we have the number 2 prospect. This dark pelted
lamb possesses length of body, adequate top width, and an
attractive volume of muscle in the rear legs. I fault this
lamb as being too deep from chest floor to shoulder,
somewhat pinched at the hip-loin junction, and rolling off
at the dock. I'd expect that deep chest to become more
prominent with age and the high point of the shoulder to
create some appearance problems at show weight.

Closely following our number 2 lamb is the 1 lamb in third
place. While 1 does have a neater chest floor and decent
length of body he easily finds his way to third being narrow
made, shallow in the twist and sickle-legged, while carrying
the same rolled dock and pinched loin as the second place
lamb.

Fourth Place: 3

The number 3 lamb is an easy bottom for the prospect class.
This narrow made, shallow twisted lamb's one asset is the
level topline. That topline is not enough to overcome the
poor neck set or obviously pinched loin.
