3 is the logical winner in this class of competitive lambs.
He's the longest sided, heaviest muscled lamb in class.
Ideally, he needs to be longer necked and cleaner at the
point of his shoulder. Still, in relation to the other
white pelted wether, he spreads more width down his top, is
bigger through is hip, and much more expressively muscled
when viewed from the rear. As a bonus he is longer loined
and leveler docked and thus should go to the rail with a
higher percentage of hind saddle.

2 closely follows the pattern of our class winner and is
extremely deep twisted and plump through the center of his
leg, however he appears to be the pounds light lamb in class
that gets somewhat short coupled. Yet I prefer him over the
dark fibered wether as he is stouter in his bone work,
fresher in his appearance, is more square and elevated in
his rack, and deeper twisted, thus leading me to believe he
would hang a fresher, more shapely carcass.

4 has the look of a trim hard handling wether that would
certainly out-cut the ewe lamb in the bottom pair. In
reality though he is somewhat frail in his rib design and
total bone mass. I simply prefer his added length and
extension when compared to the ewe lamb. In addition the
blue wether has more base width and carries more natural
width and shape to the top of his skeleton.

1 presents a problem for me in this class because from the
side she appears extremely thick and powerful, but for some
reason when viewed from the rear appears to be quick
patterned and heavy in her condition in relation to the
amount of muscle we see down her top and especially through
the center and lower part of her leg. I would also like to
see this ewe with some added freshness to her appearance,
specifically over her loin edge.
In a very tough class of four sheep with some quality and
depth, I like them 3, 2, 4, 1 with cuts of 3, 2, 2.
