Exhibitor: Westtxsheep

Sheep name/number: 82

Breed: Hampshrie X

3 is a nicely balanced lamb that is the logical class winner in my opinion. She is elevated and extended in her front 1/3, yet balances extremely well from flank to flank. She is good in her bonework and square on her feet and legs. From the rear, she shows evidence of shape and expression down her top and leg, however, needs to be wider pinned and thicker rumped.

Second Place:  4

Entry number: 1117

Exhibitor: EmsoffLambs

State: CA

Sheep name/number: 0269

Breed: Hampshire X

4 is a high volumed ewe that is shallow and smooth chested. She is a wide based female that is opened up through her rib. She appears to have plenty of thickness from behind. In comparison to the class winner, she needs to be more extended fronted and more proportional in her length of body and hindsaddle.

Third Place:  1

Entry number: 433

The closest placing is the final pair. The different camera angles and cropped photos make them harder to look at. 1 is the most appealing of the pair from the rear. She is wider based and extremely thick in her lower leg and stifle. From the side, she needs to balance better. She is deeper chested, shallower flanked, and has more slope to her hip than the top two ewes in class.

Fourth Place:  2

Entry number: 638

2 is the tall fronted, extended ewe of the class. She is smooth shouldered and has an attractive neck set. She needs to be leveler and longer rumped. From the rear angle, I would like to see her more correct on her rear legs as she hocks in slightly. She also lacks the width and expression of the other ewes in the class.
