The 1 lamb best combines the most positive traits. He isn't extreme in any area, just the most complete and best balanced. He offers the most width of top and thickness of leg, and does so in a level, square made package. He needs to be heavier structured, and more correct on his pasterns to be more iideal in type.

4 is a lamb that shows more bone size and more correctness of feet and legs as we compare him to our class winner. He is a tall fronted sheep that is shapely and powerful when you get behind him. To move up in placing, he needs to be longer and smoother in his topline, and leveler rumped.

In my bottom pair, I find the 2 lamb to be more proportional and better balanced from the profile view. He isn't fitted or presented as well as 3, but is better ribbed and bodied. He needs to be longer bodied, and more expressive in his muscle shape.

I chose to round out the class with the extreme patterned ewe lamb. She is tall fronted and straight from shoulder to dock. Her bone size is good and she is adequate in her expression of leg and stifle. To move up for me, she needs to be longer bodied, more proportional in depth of body, and more expansive in her ribcage.
