In a close top pair, I chose to start off with the thicker made #3 ewe. She is the thickest, most powerfully muscled ewe of the class. She has good width of base, is good bodied, and is shapely in her muscle pattern. To be more ideal, she needs to be stouter structured and more extended in her front.

Second Place:  1

Entry number: 1259

Exhibitor: shootingstar

State: TX

Sheep name/number: Arwen

Breed: Hamp X

Website: www.haleclublambs.weebly.com

The #1 ewe offers more extension and frame size than the class winner. She balances well from the side by being good in her depth of body and flank. She is level topped and long rumped. She appears to be narrower in her chest width and gives up overall thickness to the winner. To be highly critical, she also appears to be slightly off in her mouth which is discounted by some.

Third Place:  2

Entry number: 1372

In a close bottom pair, I elected to use the heavier muscled #2 female. She is long and straight in her topline and shows tremendous thickness in her rump, leg, and stifle. She needs to be stouter structured and cleaner fronted.

Fourth Place:  4

Entry number: 1375

4th- The #4 yearling is one of the longer bodied, longer hindsaddled sheep in the class. She has good base width and some extension of front. To move up in placing, she needs to be leveler rumped, heavier muscled, and more ideal in her condition.
