The 1 wether is an easy winner. He studies the highest quality from end to end. Here's one that is plenty muscular for a lamb and is the most correct and complete skeletally. He is shallow, level hipped and has an attractive look from the side. He needs to be wider hipped and bolder stifled but I don't find a sheep in this set that fixes that problem and maintains his quality.

For me, the middle pair can be more interesting. The Southdown, in my eyes, seems bolder bodied and more powerful from end to end. Here's a sheep with plenty of stoutness and he has a great carcass value, plus his lines are more correct than those found in 2.

For those who prefer 2, he is more exotic in his kind. He is shapely muscled and stout boned. I just don't see enough skeletal quality in this guy to sort into second. To me, he is too tight ribbed, open shouldered and needs to be stouter hipped. He simply needs more time on feed.

The sheep in fourth is one that has more flank, he's more correct in his underline but today he's the lightest muscled and stailest appearing sheep that needs the most correction to his hip and hind leg so he will round out this set in fourth.
