The #2 ewe lamb is the stoutest made, widest constructed sheep in the class. She excels the class in width of base and squareness of feet and legs. She offers tremendous width down her top and through her rump, leg, and stifle. Although she could be taller shouldered and more extended, she still is the highest quality, best balanced ewe of the class.

Second Place:  3

Entry number: 1556

Exhibitor: EmsoffLambs

State: CA

Sheep name/number: Emsoff #506

Breed: Hampshire X

Website: www.emsofflivestockcompany.com

The #3 ewe is another powerfully muscled ewe that is level made from shoulder to dock. She has good length of body and appears to be taller fronted than the class winner. She is another good example of squareness of feet and legs when viewed from the rear. To be more ideal, she needs to be heavier structured and deeper bodied and flanked.

Third Place:  4

Entry number: 1533

The #4 sheep is one of the longer bodied females of the class. She is wide based, square hocked, and extremely level toplined. Although she is adequate in muscle, she is overpowered by the two higher placing ewes. She also needs to be taller fronted and neater in her chest floor.

Fourth Place:  1

Entry number: 1550

The #1 female is by far the most extended fronted sheep in class. She is extremely tall fronted and straight topped. In comparison to her classmates, she needs to be longer bodied and heavier structured. She also lacks the body, flank, and power found in the higher placing animals.
