Official Placing: 3-4-1-2
Cuts: 2-3-1

I placed the class 3-4-1-2 with cuts of 2-3-1.

First Place:  3

Entry number: 1567

Exhibitor: Sheepsnpygs

State: OH

Sheep name/number: Tristan

Breed: Hamp x

In starting the class with 3 I’m assuming he has been wethered and the scrotum has not fallen off, however, he is the most complete market lamb of the class. When comparing thickness over the rack, the loin, depth of twist, muscle through the lower third, rib design, rear flank fullness to the other three lambs in the class he excels the other three. Just a good overall lamb that will improve with age and maturity.

Second Place:  4

Entry number: 1574

Exhibitor: EmsoffLambs

State: CA

Sheep name/number: Emsoff #547

Breed: Hampshire X

Website: www.emsofflivestockcompany.com

I’m placing the lamb with the prettiest profile and longest side of the class, 4, second in the class. This long, long leveled topped lamb would have to be thicker and wider over the rack and loin, with more muscling in the lower third to to move to the top of the class. With added maturity and size she will improve tremendously, but, today she is second.

Third Place:  1

Entry number: 1336

I’m placing 1 third and over 2 primarily because of thickness over the rack, loin, and muscle through the lower third. I would like to stretch her out and raise her dock.

Fourth Place:  2

Entry number: 1521

2 places fourth today, however, if you see her third I can understand because she is longer sided than 1, however I do not see the overall muscle dimension as exhibited by the third place lamb, 1.

Again, I placed the class 3-4-1-2 with cuts of 2-3-1.
